Why?

It's an age-old question: why? Why do certain things happen? Why is someone the way they are? Why did they do that one action? Why is the world how it is?

Why? Why? Why?

I dare you to try and count how many times you say this in a day. How about an hour? Or, if you're a particularly curious person (which I admit I fall into that category more than half of the time), try counting how many times you say it in fifteen minutes?

How about how many times you think this word. Better yet, not that word, but what it signifies...the innate sense of wanting to know something.

Why?

Yes this seems quite the dead horse to beat at...but why? What makes us such curious creatures? What are the reasons we always ask why? Do we really need to? Why not simply wait for answers to come instead of searching them out? Why do we bother? Why put ourselves through the rigor of wanting to know?

Why?

Why do we ask why?

If there is anyone who thinks they know an answer to this, I'd love to hear it. Until then, this is yet another ponder of mine, one of those mysteries I think we will never truly find out the 'why' of.

Why?
